Will and Staci Kloxin

Located in the rolling plains of southwest Oklahoma, Slash K Cattle Co. is more than a picturesque view – it’s a family operation full of passion.

Will and Staci Kloxin established their business in 2015, developing a full-service cattle care and handling business that has evolved alongside the ever-changing beef industry. Starting as a wheat pasture stocker operation with a couple hundred head and now offering preconditioning services, graze-out programs and a cow/calf herd, Slash K Cattle Co. continues to expand.

A jack of all trades

Slash K Cattle Co. employs two full-time cowboys and truck drivers along with one full-time yard man. Additionally, day workers and their two children fill in when needed. Staci’s role on the operation varies depending on the day. She’s a secretary, bookkeeper, social media manager and errand runner. When needed, Staci occasionally helps gather, feed and process cattle. 

Staci says balancing off-farm work with helping with the operation is not for the faint of heart. “I recently took on a bigger role in our operation, started investing more time in our farm and cut down my time working in town,” she explains. 

Off the farm, Staci stays busy to say the least. She can be found using her creativity working seasonally at a local boutique, planning weddings, selling home decor and doing interior design. In her community, Staci takes pride in working vendor shows, stock shows and rodeos, and clerking a local horse sale. 

Reliability in real time

Since taking on a larger role in the operation, Staci appreciates the time-saving efficiencies Performance Beef provides, especially in their preconditioning feed yards. When invoicing customers, the ability to access the calves’ feed intake and medical records from a variety of devices is helpful.  

“I wish we would have pulled the trigger sooner. The time Performance Beef saves with invoicing, breakdowns and closeouts being a click away has made our lives so much easier,” says Staci.
