Frequently Asked Questions

If you want more information give our support line a call at (515)-337-2187 and talk directly with a Performance Beef specialist. For a first hand look into the software itself and all it offers you can schedule a webinar with a specialist to show you the system in depth.

For a producer who is ready get Performance Beef we follow a couple of steps. First we determine what scales a producer has to ensure they are compatible with our Bluetooth device. We ask each producer to send a picture of the their current scale head(s) and weigh-bars to their specialist or to sales@cattlekrush.com for a hardware quote. Once a determination has been made and the producer gives us the go-ahead, we will ship the producer their hardware and schedule a training and set up time with a Performance Beef Specialist. During this set up will will teach the producer how pens, feed, rations and cattle are added into the system. Walking them through every step of  building loads and feeding using the Scale App. Our expectation is that the producer is comfortable and confident when feeding their cattle with the Performance Beef system.

Each producer will need the following to run the Performance Beef System:
  • Bluetooth compatible scale
  • Cellular Apple iPad
  • Performance Beef Subscription
To ensure we get you hooked up will all the proper hardware please send a picture of your  weigh-bar and wagon to sales@cattlekrush.com.
The Performance Beef subscription itself is $150 a month, or $1,620 a year if paid in full. We now operate with the new Scale Tec POINT scale head. This scale head is $1,110 (which may vary depending on required hookups).

You will also need one cellular Apple iPad is needed per wagon. These iPads run about on average $300. These hardware costs are all a one time cost, and there are NO set up fees.
We understand many of our producers are not always in a great area for a cellular connection. The iPads need a minimal amount of connection, only when you are done loading feed, and done delivering feed to send that data to the cloud.  If you don’t have a strong connection at this point, the system will save the information to your iPad until you reach a stronger connection.
No, the iPads us a minimal amount of data, around 0.1 GB per month.
We understand being at the mercy of technology can be daunting. Thats why we have a dedicated support team to support you at all times through our  support line at (515)-337-2187. Our team is prepared to answer the phone anytime including nights and weekends.
